However, just days after, the team was defeated by Stoke City 1-3 during the FA Cup rendezvous. Arsenal’s performance is far from being steady — in fact, some critiques actually commented that their past few performances are like rollercoaster, going up and down rapidly. It is only natural that we all wonder, what now Arsenal?

    The next match will be against Aston Villa. With Coach Martin O’Neil leading the team, Aston Villa is not showing a spectacular performance as well over the past couple of matches. The match will be held at Aston Villa’s Villa Park; Arsenal have never lost a match at Villa Park since 1998, which should be a good motivation for the team.

    Arsene Wenger is looking at his 300th wins if Arsenal can win against Aston Villa. Wenger would be the second coach ever to reach that level, after Sir Alex Ferguson. This will make the match against Aston Villa even more important for the French coach.

    The team is also in good shape. Players are practicing intensively for the upcoming match, determined to regain their confidence after the last defeat against Stroke City. So what is it going to be? Will Arsenal continue their winning streak at Villa Park with another great win? Or will the team spiral down and suffer another defeat?     The Carling Cup semi-final between Manchester United and Manchester City is closing in fast, and the tensions are building just as fast between the two coaches as well as both the competing teams. The last match was quite controversial indeed, with Tavez’s goals and his celebrations being responded with Gary Neville’s body language. Manchester United is in a tough spot indeed, with one of the team’s former player ruining their strategy and breaking their defense line.

    What to expect from the next match between United and City? Fergie vs. Mancini. Both Sir Alex Ferguson and Roberto Mancini will give their 110% to win the match and save their reputations. These are two of the world’s best football coaches competing with two strong teams under their guidance, and we can expect to see some serious actions throughout the match for sure.

    The Football Association issued a statement regarding this issue, asking both coaches to cool down and to bring the competition to a healthier level. The second match between MU and City will be held this Thursday, but the heat is building; Manchester Police and other law enforcement forces are preparing for the worst, setting up extra security measures around the city and Old Trafford.

    The FA anticipated around 9,000 Manchester City fans coming to Old Trafford to watch the derby. The situation can easily escalade to somewhat uncontrollable if the current issues are not dealt with properly. With wise player such as Rooney throwing positive comments about Tavez, let’s hope the next match will be an interesting, and peaceful, one.

    Real Madrid might be a bit behind, with 5 points away from Spanish League’s leader Barcelona, but that doesn’t mean they are not performing well this season. In fact, Real Madrid booked several amazing accomplishments throughout this season.

    Last night’s 2-0 victory against Malaga brought Real Madrid to 10 victories out of 10 home matches. That’s a perfect home record right there. Not only that, Real Madrid scored a total number of 32 goals throughout these 10 home matches.

    Barcelona’s home match records are slightly worse, with 1 draw and 9 wins. The team scored a total number of 26 goals throughout their 10 matches. It is obvious that Real Madrid’s records are better when compared to Barcelona’s, but Barcelona showed spectacular performances on away matches as well and collected more championship points.

    Real Madrid booked 4 wins, 2 draws, and 3 losses so far on away matches; definitely not the best, but their performances are generally great during the first half of this season. Gonzalo Higuain scored 11 goals, with Cristiano Ronaldo following closely; the later scored 7 goals for Real Madrid. Karim Benzema scored 5 goals for Real Madrid, while Raul Gonzales and Kaka scored 3 goals each.

    Will the second half of this season be better for Real Madrid? The possibilities are there, and it is just a matter of time before we see just how well Real Madrid improve their plays in the second half of the Spanish League. 5 points are not that much, and Real Madrid can still catch up with Barcelona for an exciting neck-to-neck rally to the end.
