AS Roma’s win against Juventus was very special indeed for Francesco Totti, especially because he now ranked 7th in Italy’s Serie A all-time top scorers. He is now equal to the legendary Giuseppe Signori, with 188 goals over 344 matches. Totti scored his 188 goals over the course of 432.

Francesco Totti still has six more legendary football players to pass if he wants to be the all-time top scorer. Swedish Kurt Hamrin is next on the list, with 190 goals over 400 matches. Totti only need to score two more goals to be 6th in the top scorers list. Italy’s very own Roberto Baggio is now in 5th place with 205 goals in total; the goals were scored over 452 matches.

The top four on the top scorers list is even more legendary. You can see José Altafini and Giuseppe Meazza sharing the third place with 216 goals each. The controversial José Altafini was indeed a very sharp striker with intuitive instincts for scoring goals, while Meazza is known for his power shots throughout the 1930s to 40s.

We have another Swedish player, Gunnar Nordahl, currently in second of the all-time top scorers list. He scored 225 in total from 1948 to 1958. It is amazing to know that Nordahl scored his 225 over 291; this means his average goals are the highest on the list.

Last but not least, Silvio Piola is still topping the list with his 274 goals. How far can Totti go up the list?
